THE WRITING
BEATLE GIVEAWAY!

John was a truly visionary and
eclectic artist. He expressed himself through music, paintings, drawings,
poetry, stories, etc. with a uniqueness and energy that few other artists can
match. If you haven't read John's two books, In His Own Write and A
Spaniard in the Works, you're in for a treat. I think that he and
Lewis Carroll may have been kindred spirits.
In October of 2010, Simon &
Schuster published a reissue of John's classic books in one volume. From
the publisher:
"As you well know, few musicians have impacted popular culture as much as John Lennon. Lennon penned the soundtrack to countless lives. He also produced two classic books of poetry, prose, and sketches – IN HIS OWN WRITE and A SPANIARD IN THE WORKS, first published separately in the 1960s and then together in 1981.
"On October 5, 2010, Simon & Schuster reissued IN HIS OWN WRITE and A SPANIARD IN THE WORKS, together again in one collectible volume, in honor of what would have been John Lennon’s 70th birthday.
"Illustrated with Lennon’s drawings, IN HIS OWN WRITE and A SPANIARD IN THE WORKS explore the mind of the enigmatic artist. He shows off a love of fantasy and wordplay, and a knack for finding the meaningful in the absurd. Though unique, this collection boasts the same wit and whimsy that characterized Beatles classics like
'Come Together' and 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.'"
Simon &
Schuster is making it possible for Endless Rain to offer a copy of their
