The first time I knew about The Beatles is when I was 8 or 9. Once my mother said that my younger sister looks like young John Lennon and I couldn't stop wondering how John Lennon really looks like and yeah.. Tho my sister is a girl, she looked like John with the shape of her face and mop top haircut :D
Then, I can still remember when I was in 7th grade, my music teacher asked the pupils to sing a song in front of the class. One week before the day, I opened my mother's song book and 'yesterday' just hooked me, I don't know why.. My mother taught me the melody and the tunes can't stop playing in my head. When I was ready to perform, I said the title 'yesterday' out loud. But seems like my friends were mistaken as 'So Yesterday' from Hillary Duff. Well.. Awkward moment.. Hahaa.. Very memorable for me! :D
And.. Oh yea, I won a package of the remastered stereo 4 months ago from a music magazine, very happy, indeed! Until now, I can't stop listening to The Beatles. Basically, I listen to The Beatles almost everyday, and my fave Beatles song changes everyday. I mean, can you pick only one fave Beatles song? ;D

When i was in fourth grade i remember my uncle asked me if i wanted to watch Help ! with him. I said yes. So we watched and i just can't forget about them. In my birthday he gave the movie to me. Before going to school ,coming home from school, taking supper and eating breakfast, on my spare time i watch it often.  I loved The Beatles and i asked my dad many questions about their songs and he said that he will just buy me a songbook at National Bookstore and so i had it and i didn't know too many songs but at last i had my very own Beatles cd which was One and i loved it after that my dad gave me his beatles cd named Rubber Soul and i liked it very much i got up the next morning so early so i could listen to my new cds. My dad bought me dvds and a cd named Revolver, i looked at it and said is this mine or somebody's i asked them ? it's yours i bought it for you enjoy it. I did enjoy all The Beatles merchandise i had and continued to collect more as they said Once you !
get hooked on The Beatles you will never change and always have The Beatles in your hearts. I was a crazed beatlemaniac and a well known fan at school and started calling me The Beatles. hehehe

I've always liked the Beatles music (and John Lennon's solo career) since I can remember. But only about one year ago I bought the album "1". I loved all of the songs and listened to the record over and over and over again. Then last Summer break, when I was at home and finally had free time, I started searching and reading more about The Beatles, and realized they made movies! So I saw the movie Help! on a streaming video website. That was when I definitely fell in love with The Fab. The movie was so funny and all the songs were great. So in the next weeks I watched Magical Mystery Tour, A Hard Day's Night and more and more music videos and live performances. Downloaded all their records, read more about them and listened to their amazing music everyday. Bought the A Hard Day's Night DVD and the White Album for me birthday. I wish the records were cheaper... here in Portugal they're really expensive, specially for a college student. But I'm going to buy all their records and films as soon as possible. Next one is gonna be the Help DVD. Can't wait! :)

Two years ago, (in 6th grade) we had a student music teacher, who was obsessed with The Beatles, come to visit. The song in our music book we were learning was "Birthday". Our music books come with C.D.s of kids singing the most random songs. The music teacher was really upset with kids on the C.D.'s version of "Birthday". She told us she was gonna bring in the REAL birthday and play it for us. She did the next day. Then, she brought in her copy of the DVD, The Beatles First U.S. Visit, which we watched in class. The movie aroused me to take some interest in The Beatles. That summer, my family and I took a vacation to Europe. (France and England) When we were in England, I got to walk across Abbey Road. It was a nice experience for me. My birthday was 3 days after we came back from our vacation. I received 3 Beatles C.D.s. (Abbey Road, Revolver, and One) Now, I have a MAD obsession with The Beatles.

Julia

I have known The Beatles my whole life, because my parents and all my aunts and uncles love them and grew up in the '60s. I've also always known that they were a big deal, but I didn't know literally anything about them, I just heard them mentioned and stuff.

Anyways, I remember my dad getting the ''One'' cd 7 years ago in 2000, and we all listened to it in the car on the way to vacation and stuff. I liked it, and just felt like I knew it, but I did not have a clue who it was. I just heard a few songs from it when my dad or mom was playing it, that's it.

So, a little over a year ago, we went to a restaurant every Tuesday for spaghetti. It seems like every week I heard a very familiar tune playing, it was ''Love Me Do''. I loved it and knew the words, and right away it brought back memories from when I heard it so long ago. So, I asked my mom who it was and she said it was The Beatles. And a month or so later, my mom and I were at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cleveland, and The Beatles were on the tvs a lot that day. My mom started telling me about them, and the fainting girls. I got really interested, wanting to learn more, it made me curious. Then I dug out the ''One'' cd, thinking it looked very familiar, and listened to it. I absolutely loved it, a lot of the songs sounded very familiar from when I first heard them six years before. I looked at the booklet in the cd case, and fell in love with them! They seemed so appealing. I looked at my dad's anthology book, and my love just grew and grew. So now I have every cd, tons of posters, movies, and there's plenty more to come! Some people at school think I'm strange for liking an old band, not one from today. But, I don't care, they have no clue what they're missing out on. I'm just so glad they were on those tvs that day and my mom introduced them to me. I'm one of the biggest fans ever, even though I'm only 15 and have been a fan for only a year. I'm also named after their song ''Julia''. Where would my life be without them? Empty.

Beth/Cry For A Shadow
It all started when I saw The Beatles Anthology on TV. More specifically, when I saw their live performance of "I'm A Loser" in Paris on The Beatles Anthology on TV. For some reason, that short clip made me fall head over in heels in love with John. After seeing more of them on the Anthology, I fell in love with the rest of 'em. From that point on, I talked, walked, ate, slept, dreamt, thought, listened, and sang The Beatles. That was more than a decade ago, and my fandom is still going strong!

Beatlette
All my life I knew the Beatle's music, my parents had bought 'Beatles 1' when I was really young. They often played it on road trips or at home. I remember really liking 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' and 'Hello, Goodbye'. I had other musical interests at the time but I had nothing  against the Beatles, I just wasn't obsessed. Then in grade 7 suddenly I was obsessed. It was so quick the way it happened suddenly I was in love with Paul McCartney. This year I really threw myself into their music and history. As I still love Paul, I discovered John. Now I have 13 CDs, 4 posters, Beatles records, Beatle books, 2 movies and other stuff. Plus I have my 2 best friends that love the Beatles as well. The Beatles have changed my life, made it way more interesting. Other than the Beatles I listen to John's solo stuff and Elvis. Although it is not easy being a Beatles fan it is super fun, especially when your friends love them too. The song that means the most to me is 'In My Life'.!
I know EVERYTHING about them, I have read over 20 books about them and I have probably been to over 100 websites. I may 14 but I am the Beatles expert.
In my life I love you more.

Andrea/That Magic Feeling
Quite accidentally, I stumbled across the movie "A Hard Day's Night" in 1995 and the instant I saw it, I was fascinated. Their music, humor and personalities just sparked my interest and things were never the same again, really... since I turned into a massive Beatlemaniac from that point on. ;) But I'm glad it turned out that way. :)

"...words are flowing out like endless rain..."
hmm, what a beautiful song ...any road, my 'epiphany' came to me when I was quite young. My family lived in Ashtabula, Ohio (Spencer Circle). I was born July 30, 1962. Six years later we (my mom, 3 brothers and a baby sister) would end up moving to Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania after my mother and father decided to divorce after 13 years of marriage. It was during these first 6 years of my life that my Beatles epiphany took place. I have many, many crystal clear memories of this time in my youth and realize now that this may all be attributed to the terrible fighting that took place between my mom and dad during this time. I can recall so many incredible moments. This was during a time when Lincoln Logs ruled my world. I loved the green color of the wood used for the roofing. The smell. The taste of this toy is with me to this very day. One evening, while we gathered in the living room to watch the Ed Sullivan show, The Beatles were about to be introduced. I had never heard their name up until that moment and was quite determined not to miss when they came on. So much so that when my mom and dad started to argue with one another while they sat on the couch directly behind me as I sat on the floor, in between them and the TV I turned around and very purposefully said "Shhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" as they came on. From that point on, I recall stopping dead in my tracks when anything that had to do with The Beatles came within my child mind. I've been a fan ever since. Huge fan. One of the biggest.

Rach/In My Life
My mom watches those biographies a lot and one day I walked in when she was watching a Beatles bio. I saw Paul and I was all, "Oo-la-la!" (even though I was 9 at the time). Then the next day when my friend was over I decided to start playing some Beatles music (the 1st disc of the Red Album). I took an immediate liking to 'She Loves You'. So for the next year or so, I liked listening to that 1st disc. Then this kid I really liked introduced me to 'Paperback Writer'. I listened to that for a while, and then I got interested in other music for a while.

Then last November (2003), I realized I hadn't seen A Hard Day's Night for the longest time, so I watched it. Every day. Then I started doing research on the Beatles and getting more of their albums, and now I've ended up being obsessed.

My parents played a lot of the Beatles songs on the guitar so I knew a lot of them, but they never really grew on me. Then last summer we took a trip to England, and we stopped in Liverpool cause my parents wanted to see it. Wow... seeing all the places like Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields was amazing. We even saw the Cavern Club where they first played. I think the Beatles museum was the turning point. I got to see the real story and how it all came about. Since then I've been obsessed :)

I first starting listening to The Beatles for2 years, and I'm 15 lol. I give thanx to Oasis (yeah) for giving me the chance to discover this great band. The Beatles are one of my faves bands, just behind Oasis hehe. I just love them

Alexis/Close Your Eyes
somewhere along the line of listening to a classic rock station, "she loves you" came on. it was so surprisingly catchy that i downloaded it, and then realized that i knew many other beatles songs as well. children nowadays have a knowledge of the beatles existence when they are born, or so it seems. mine just didn't become developed until that one day in the car. if i didn't hear that song, i can't even imagine what kind of music i would like now.

Colleen/Strawberry Fields
I was sixteen and I was doing a project for social studies. It was a project on how things change over time. My friend and I chose to do music. I put together a compilation tape of music from the 50s to the 90s. I had to check out a lot of tapes from the library and I remember checking out the Beatles 1962-1966 cassette tape. I only chose two songs from the tape to put on the project and I ended up keeping it longer just to listen to it. I was hooked. I had to have anything Beatle related. Then when the Anthology premiered on ABC I taped it and watched it everyday (no exaggeration).

When I got my first cd player one of the first cds I bought was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
I love the Beatles.

there are several different occurances...
i can vaguely remember my father playing eight days a week on the guitar and my mom and i singing along. it's as if i was born knowing the words to the early beatles songs. i remember once, when i was 11, have a nickel from 1964 and saying to anyone around me, "are you watching ed sullivan tonight? the beatles are gonna be on." however, when i was 12, i picked up sgt. pepper. OH MAN! the letter was sealed, i was a maniacal fan of the beatles... a beatlemaniac. wow.

One. You know, the album "One". My mother bought it for herself and she played it in the livingroom once. I heard it and something clicked. I don't know why, I'd never had that with any band before, but I just fell in love with the music. I played it over and over and over and from than on everything becomes blurry. Only thing I know is that I'm a huge Beatle-fan now.

I had always heard that The Beatles was the name of the greatest band in this world, but I had never heard a song ( I mean, I heard, but I didn't know those songs were from them).

So, one sweet day I was watching my very best MTV program when loveable Marcos Mion ( the guy who presents the program ) said " Wow, man, today we're gonna show you a beatle video!". It was HELP!, my first beatle Love!

Kristel/Norwegian Wood's LiveJournal
My dad owned the Beatles White Album and for awhile I simply ignored it.  When I was 12 (I am 20 now), I decided to give it a whirl because I was bored one day.  I fell in love with "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill" and "Helter Skelter."  Since then, my obsession has grown and developed nicely.  John and Paul are my favorites, although I love them all.

Jane/Flying Pigs
My mother is a teacher, and one day, when I was about 12, she brought home an old record player from her school.  She managed to find two of her old Beatles records ("Beatles '65" and "Beatles VI") and played them for me.  I was mesmerized.  That Christmas, I received "Past Masters Volume I."  Ever since, The Beatles have been my heroes.

Neire/Idem
I grew up listening to the Beatles because my parents love them, I liked them but not so much... A few years ago, my dad was watching a TV program about them... and was there where I listened for the first time... 'Hey Jude'.  I saw Paul there singing and well you know.  My fav beatle is Paul and one of my fav songs is 'Hey Jude'!  They will never die!  They'll live in our hearts!
